Some Important Questions Paper for Upcoming Section Officer Exam

By dharmarajbudha

The preliminary exam of section officer is becoming harder and harder in recent years. The experts of Public Service Commission now are smarter than the old experts who were depended on written books for questions making. But new experts use google search to find best and unique questions. They also search for neighbors countries questions patterns. After  introducing new course in Section Officer exam the question difficulty is felt harder.

Comparison with Civil Service Exam of India

If we analyze our section officer's syllabus it is picked and choosed from Civil Service Exam of India. There is vast syllabus, from this course our public service commission has selected some topics and designed new syllabus. So 5 to 10 questions always contains from there exam. But these question most of time are new and unwilled for us. So can not satisfied with exam.

Sources of Questions

The main source of question is UPSC Prelims, which is two paper namely General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II. GS paper I is related with General Knowledge and Contemporary Issues related questions. Similarly GS Paper II is related with Comprehension and IQ related questions. Among these questions GK, Contemporary related and IQ questions are important for us. Expect this exam other exam which UPSC conducts are equally important for us. Namely these exam are CAPF, NDA and NA I & II and CISF. But sometimes other's exam question like CDS, Engineering Prelims is used by our PSC. So we should have look these questions too before the exam.

How to use these questions

We can't be depended only with these questions for full preparations, so we should managed time to search some syllabus related topics in google. But we should go deeper in google search only main page search result we should study. All of these questions and google search is useful for these question which are not related with our country. But many topics are related with our country's political, social, economical, cultural etc. dimensions. So should be care enough that we are fully prepare or not for these topics. In my experience we can't pass pre-test only with good preparation of out source question. So give enough time for our questions and build confident that I am ready for my country related questions. The expect some more questions to be solved with the help of question mentioned above and below of this post.

By dharmarajbudha
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” This English idiom says it all. A picture can tell more thins than we wrote in the exam. You should have seen cartoons in newspaper, there are some or no words but this tells  more for readers.  Use of diagrams, flowcharts and other illustrations in the writing is most important parts of your writing. Importance of Diagrams

  • They explain a lot in less time. This saves time during your mains exam.
  • If you are running out of time during the exam, you can always rely on illustrations to get at least a few marks.
  • It is an effective tool to provide a summary of the information contained in the written answer
  • To fill your copy margin.
  • To prove or justify something with figures.
  • To describe your writing more easily, without to be stopped.

Use of Diagrams

In Nepalese context only few people suggest to use diagrams in PSC exams, in the reference of UPSC mains exam of India most of the students and expert suggest use of diagrams as a part of answer writing. In Nepal generally our answer writing model is that Introduction, Body and Conclusion. But in UPSC exam in the body part they use some diagrams. Top rankers of section office of Nepal also suggest use of diagrams in exam. So should be prepare to use diagrams in the exam/

What PSC says about Diagrams

If we read PSC rules there is indication to write or draw different illustrations in their answer sheets. The questions will be also related to illustrate figures where examinees can use diagrams. But only few of us use diagrams in exams because we aren't prepare for it or we don't need it. But I suggest you to be prepared about diagrams inclusion in your answer sheet.

Types of Diagrams

There are many types of diagrams to be included in exams. These are tables, bar graphs,, charts, flowcharts, line graphs, pie charts and other drawing.

Section Officer Writing With Answer Sheet

By dharmarajbudha 2 Comments

If we asked How to write in PSC exam the answer might be different by diffrent persons according to their experiences. But one common thing is that we should write perfectly and neatly. The PSC exam is one competitive exam so only pass marks can't be sufficient all of the time. The ranking is important as the vacancy is opened.

The Public Service Commission has not predefined any answer writing formats expect the questions might be long or short as a note writing. So answers should be presented with own style as question is concerned about.

Debates About Paragraphs VS Bullets

In market there are many assumptions that we should write in paragraphs or bullets. That is the most debatable issues with all the PSC examinees.  Some aspirants think bullets is best in answer writing, but other may think paragraphs is best. But the genuine way to write in exam is mixing both paragraphs and bullets in examinations as question's nature. If the question is asking to write about characteristics, benefits, importance etc. we can use bullets. But the question is about something to prove, describe, analyze somethings at this time we can write with paragraphs or some bullets with their explanations in paragraph. In some case the questions indicate us to write in bullets; at this time definitely use bullets.

Some examiners may like paragraphs and some like bullets, so we can not  go only with bullets or paragraphs. So best way to write answer is starts with paragraph, write most of the body in bullets and ends with paragraph. But don't be confused how to write. Most of the people prefers to write in bullets, because within a given time we can not write enough margin. So bullets can be best way to full copy and estimate marks with bullets that we wrote in exam.

Importance of Mock Test

Mock Test is the best way to evaluate oneself with others before the actual test. Without practicing enough before examinations we can not be prepared for exams. So mock test is compulsory for everyone who wants to pass competitive exams. We should take as much as tests of all of our subjects at the preparations time. It can be taken in an institution or at home. But in the institution we can get feedback and coopetitors performance as well. So we can determine which stages of success actually we are. We should take mock test exam full time. which will promote our writing and ability to deal with unexpected questions.

My Experience in Mock Test

I have taken 5/6 mock tests in institute. More than the institute I have completed mock tests at home. In mocks tests I completed all the questions during the three hours time. All of the exams I got 45-53 marks with feedbacks. After taking mock test I found myself  ready for exam with more confidence level. But I have not got any success yet.

I have submitted my mock test copy here. I hope it will be used as references to evaluate yourself, and get some hints with experts feedback. I am also willing to get your feedback for me to be prepared along with you.

Have a look at this....

The complex process of liver transplantation has been successfully handled in Nepal recently. Who is the person who has got transplanted liver for the first time in Nepal? Correct Answer: Balbir Lageju Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow. Admiration of great men, both of our own time and of the past, is a valuable emotion and stimulus to useful activity. To young men of vigor and enterprise, the achievements of predecessors are an encouragement and a proof of what is possible to achieve. But if this good effect is to result from admiration. It is necessary that the men who are admired should be regarded as something that is possible to equal by means of sufficient exertion, not as something outside our capacity. It is possible to use the great men of the past as an excuse for laziness, by assuming that what they thought was perfect for all time and need never be re-examined. This attitude is defended by those who adopt it, who call it 'reverence' and condemn all modern initiative as disrespectful. 'Reverence' in this sense has been a misfortune to the human race. One of the outstanding examples of the harm done by excessive reverence is the influence of Aristotle. For a brief period, in the eleventh and twelfth centuries, when the West rediscovered him through contact with the Arabs, his writings acted as an intellectual stimulus. But very soon he became canon of orthodoxy, and no advance could be made except by showing the falsehood of what he had said. Galileo could not induce professors of astronomy to look through his telescope at Jupiter's moons, because they knew from Aristotle that Jupiter has no moons. Throughout Galileo's life he was as much criticized for disagreeing with Aristotle as for his supposed conflict with the scriptures. Two centuries later, when Darwin published Origin of Species he was met by dogmatic assertion of Aristotle's doctrine that each species was separately created. In logic and aesthetics his influence has been, and still is, exceedingly pernicious. Questions 84.
